Gina Schroeder of Nutley was booked into the Bergen County Jail on Tuesday after police said she “made the threatening statements towards" the Goddard School.

A judge released her, under New Jersey's 2017 bail reform law, following a detention hearing Wednesday in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.

The school was placed in lockdown last Friday after staffers there said that Schroeder, 39, threatened to “one day…come here and shoot it up,” Police Chief Michael Foligno told Daily Voice on Tuesday.

Schroeder, who was the lead teacher in the infant room, also mentioned owning three guns, he said.

She was detained while the Riverfront Boulevard school was placed in lockdown and searched for weapons by a K-9 unit last Friday, Foligno said.

“No weapons were located in the building or in [her] vehicle,” the chief said.

Nutley police seized three guns from her home – all legally owned, he said.

Elmwood Park charged Schroeder on Tuesday with making terroristic threats and illegal possession of prescription drugs.

The Goddard School -- which serves youngsters six weeks to 6 years old -- also fired her, authorities said.
